ARDECHE MARRONS is based in DAVEZIEUX in the mountainous
Ardèche region. Producing some of the best chestnut varieties,
the Ardèche region accounts for half of the total French
chestnut production. Our company specializes in a large range
of chestnut products.
Chestnuts are hand sorted, with no chemical treatment
or additives. The fruit is initially fire-roasted, then carefully processed
using traditional methods which have been adapted to today's
gourmet taste.
Only natural flavors and ingredients, such as cane sugar,
vanilla extract, and fruits, are used. Our products contain no artificial
coloring or preservatives. All products are certified to be superior
quality by an independent laboratory.
We are producing in a newly built factory opened in
2001 under H.A.C.C.P and the lastest European health food regulation; our
products and process are US FDA approved.
Prior to opening, shelf life is 3 years from manufacturing
date.
We currently supply top gourmet stores in Germany, Great
Britain, Switzerland, Japan, and in the USA.
Chestnuts are an excellent, flavorful fruit and are gluten free.
They're nutritious, easily digested, and regarded as a tonic for the nervous system.
They're a sweet and tasty source of fiber, iron, calcium, and vitamins B, C and E.
Chestnuts were introduced in France by the Roman legions
2000 years ago. In fact, chestnuts were a dietary staple long before potatoes were.
Ardeche Marron's chestnuts are specially harvested and
selected from trees in the renowned mountain region of Ardèche.
